Nothing serious, but I was wondering if there were any tips for avoiding wind burn on the face; I'm pretty prone to it. I've started using a moisturizer in the morning after my commute, and again at night, and keep really hydrated, but I can already feel it starting on my cheekbones (about the only part of my face other than my eyes that is exposed when it's really cold out). Does anyone put anything on their skin when they're actually riding, or does everyone else basically do damage control after the ride is over? It's not too bad right now, but I know from experience that my skin get a lot more dry as the season wears on.

Don't ride in the winter? Just relax, take it easy on the couch with a minimum of one pint of Chubby Hubby per day, and kiss windburn goodbye!
Oh, wait... you probably want to maintain some level of fitness and/or ride during the winter. Yeah, don't listen to me.
haha I did that last winter and gained about 10 lbs. I guess I like food and stouts way too much to take it easy on myself! :)
if you use some kind of scarf, it'll trap the moisture from your breath and keep you warmer. i like the turtle fur/fleece turtleneck thingeys.
Yeah, I already use a turtle fur thing that gets my forehead and ears, and something of similar material to get from the nose down (plus a scarf for the back of my neck), but the cheeks are uncovered because my eyes need to be uncovered. Of course, on nicer days, I do let it all hang out.
