- Let's Rock was originally started to keep my friends and family informed about my whereabouts and state of being while I was on a trip to Peru. Once I returned, it kind of lay dormant for quite some time, but recently I realized that I wanted to do some writing from home. Gathered here are my random thoughts, reactions, and musings about whatever strikes me as interesting throughout the day. A bit about me: I am the director of a small library and archives in Chicago. I have loads of random hobbies and interests that I am sure will come out at some point during my writing on here. Yeah... I'm an HR Consultant... The job market blows!
We specialize in engineers, high level IT, and professional management. Our market still is not bad, but generally speaking the job market sucks. I firmly believe we need to plan for a 9.2 (+/- .1) unemployment nationally before this is all said and done. Also, my guess, give it 11 months (+/- 2).
Lastly, if all of this does come true? Please don't shoot the messenger.
haha no worries, you're not telling me anything that I don't have cold sweats and night terrors about. The non-profit sector sucks (+/- .5) major ass right now.
